Ramblings on...feature length cartoons

I created this whilst four others were washing my vehicle for RM20! So this essay is worth that much at least

"Yesterday is history, tomorrow is the future but today is a gift; that is why it is called the present", from the movie "Kung Fu Panda".

Undoubtedly I love feature length cartoons. I enjoyed this particular one mainly because of that particular "word of wisdom".

Of course, all the old disney feature length cartoon movies were great. Jungle Book especially where the four vultures bantering in "scouser" (reminiscent of or mimicking the "fab four" - John, Paul, George and Ringo)  where one started with "what we gonna do?" to which the other would reply with a rhetoric "I don't know, what we gonna do?". and the final  rebutal of "now don't start that again!"

One can never stop wondering the thousands of hours needed to paint the fresh leaves moistened by raindrops on billowing trees, bubbling streams, galloping horses whose muscles rippled in the intense race... Sheer artistry.

Walt would be proud to know that his creations are still appreciated to this day. He left a huge legacy - remembered for eons to come leaving indellible impressions on young and old alike.

Fantasia, Bambi, Fox and Hound, Cinderella...to name but a few. It is worth keeping them for your future generations to come, trust me.

With the advent of computer graphics I sense the disappearance of art but the emergence of another form of artistry...life like motions, more life like rippling muscles, gurgling streams as real as the real thing...
